With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Cecelia Hill (Ankeny, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 4, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Callie and David Spates; her parents, Carrie Henderson and Leon Parks; her siblings, Lawrence "Sony" Mallory, Clyde "Buddy" Mallory Jr. and Kathleen "Lois" Harmison; her former husband Levi Lewis Sr.; her husband Theodore R. Hill; her son Darryl Lewis Sr.; and her grandson Darryl Lewis Jr..
She is survived by: her siblings, Janice March, Beverly McGee (Milton), Karen Anderson, Lisa Henderson, Sheri Henderson and Louis "Gregory" Henderson Jr. (Elsa); her sister-in-law Yvonne Mallory; and her children, Levi Lewis Jr., Richard Lewis, Michael Lewis, Brian Lewis (Joan), Marsha Lewis and Linda Lewis. She is also survived by many grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W 1st St, Ankeny, IA 50023). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
