He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Johnson and Jeanette Johnson (Hauge); his wife Elizabeth Johnson (Robinson); his son David; and his brother Duane.
He is survived by: his daughter Diane Hacker (Lee); his grandchildren, Luke Hacker and Megan Bedford (Joe); his great grandchildren, Taylor and Brooke Bedford; and his siblings, Merle Johnson (Susan), Allen Johnson (Marva) of Ankeny, Verdel Odgaard of Ankeny and Janet Longcor (Jim) of Des Moines. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
