It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerold John Barten (Ankeny, Iowa), who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jerold departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Jerold. Though Jerold may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (2926 Beaver Ave, Des Moines, IA 50310). A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Manning Cemetery (1220 Center St, Manning, IA 51455).
