It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice (Jan) Schwarting of Ankeny, Iowa, born in Leon, Iowa, who passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis "Jack" Caldwell and Lola Caldwell (Peppmeier); and her husband Gary. She is survived by: her daughter Ashley Ott (Joel); her grandsons, Kyle and Eric of Ankeny; her cousin Joann Rathje (David) of Creston; and her siblings-in-law, Donna Lundeen (Bruce) of East Moline, Illinois and Rick Schwarting (Barb) of Atkins, Iowa..
