He was predeceased by: his parents, Elva Schmadeke and Arnold Schmadeke; and his siblings-in-law, Merle Strike (Shirley) and Lil Strike. He is survived by: his wife Nyla Strike; his children, Karyn Ellenberger (Scott) of Illinois and Mark of Ankeny; his brother John (Kathy) of Arizona; and his brothers-in-law, Gene Strike of Illinois, Arlyn Strike (Biruta) of Illinois, Theron Strike of Illinois and Norman Strike of Maryland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
