He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Cory and Pearl Cory (Hennessy); and his siblings, Clarence "Buck", Lewis, Michael Cory, Darlene Hamm and Patricia Harrison.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Craun; his children, Mark, Craig, Michele and Michael; his grandsons, James and Cole; his daughter Julie Jorgensen (Mark); his granddaughter Kara; and his siblings, Bob Cory (Lou Jean), Jerry Cory (Sandy) and Helen Burnett.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Well Covenant Church and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of James.
