With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irving H. Egeland of Ankeny, Iowa, who passed away on April 7, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Helmer Egeland and Violet Egeland (Tjelmeland); his son Mark; his wife Sarah; and his brothers, Arnold and Marvin.

He is survived by: his daughters, Michele Richardson (Reginald) of Ames, Kathleen Hovland of Ames and Anne Owens (Tom) of Ankeny; and his brother Orlene Egeland. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, four sisters-in-law; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
