He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen R. Sears and Mildred Jones Sears; his wife Jan Utterback; his grandparents, Tom and Hazel Jones; his sister Betty; his brother-in-law Jim Flom; his uncle Tom; and his aunts, Barbara Jones, Myrtle Martin and Elsie Jones.
He is survived by: his former wife Nancy Lee; his son Ron (Tina Sears) of Mansfield, TX; his grandchildren, Jenn Dowell, Missy Ballard (Martin), Travis Clemen (Emma), Holly Bruce, Camille Donnell (Devin), Brittany Estes (Sam), Shawnda Jones (Brent) and Stephanie Park (Jason); his uncle Bob; and his aunt Violet Jones of Oskaloosa.
