Gerald C. Hunke Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald C. Hunke of Ankeny, Iowa, born in West Point, Nebraska, who passed away on December 27, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Hunke (Tom) and Clara Hunke (Gentrup); his wife Marlyn Seeman; his son-in-law Dave Smith; his sister Ruth Picha (Marvin); and his brother-in-law Mac Seeman.
He is survived by: his daughter Jody Smith of Ankeny; his grandson Nate (Meredith); his great grandchildren, Kiley and Brody; his siblings, William "Bill" Hunke (Agnes) and Grace Counts; and his sister-in-law Beatrice Seeman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Mary's Church, GACC Endowment, St. Francis Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph's Retirement Community, or the West Point Community Foundation.
