We are sad to announce that on April 28, 2021, at the age of 69, Gary Wayne Simmons of Ankeny, Iowa, born in Louisville, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent Marsetta Simmons; and his sister Nancy Fitzwater. He is survived by: his father James Simmons (Jean); his wife Melissa Simmons; his children, Marsetta Nicolocchia, Deborah Reyes (John) and Gary Simmons, Jr.; his stepchildren, Ben Phillips and Jessica Phillips; and his siblings, Ricky Simmons (Della), Tony Simmons and Gina Miller (Paul). He is also survived by five grandsons; one great-granddaughter.
