He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L Thrailkill and Rosie L Melton (Donaldson); his stepfather Elmer "Bud" Melton; and his granddaughter Keah Reel of Helena, Montana.. He is survived by: his wife Rita Thrailkill (Harker) of Ankeny, IA; his stepbrother Elmer "Frank" Melton (Diana); his sister Sharon Sargeson (Fred); his children, Jason Colby (Julie) of Wichita Falls, Jody "Joe" Reel of Helena, Montana, Roberta Little (Pat) of Roy and Joni Lutman (Kevin) of Ankeny, Iowa; his stepsons, Bradly Stroud of Ankeny Iowa and Brandon Stroud of Springfield Missouri; and his grandchildren, Kylee Reel of Helena, Becca Meyer (Barrett) of Helena, Taylor Bain of Ankeny, Payton Thrailkill of Ankeny, Austin Little of Roy, Leland and Landon Stroud.
