With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Lund (Ankeny, Iowa), born in Leighton, Iowa, who passed away on October 11, 2019 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dorothy Lund to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter VanDeWal and Gertrude VanDeWal (Steenhoek); and her husband Dale Lund. She is survived by: her children, Robert Lund (Cathy), Diane Kroeger (Kent) and Carole Lund-Smith; her grandchildren, Becky Doubleday (Chad), Carrie Viel (Jason), Chris Kroeger (Angie), Matt Kroeger, Lindsey Hannan (Brian), Lauren Pratt (Ben) and Zach Smith; and her brother Marion VanDeWal. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sheldahl Cemetery, Suncrest Hospice or Bethlehem Lutheran Church (Slater, IA).
