It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothea Lorraine Stratton of Ankeny, Iowa, who passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Hess and Josephine Hess. She is survived by: her children, Jolene Fern, John Harlan, Jacqueline Stratton, Louis Huether, Hiram Philo and Valerie Stratton; her grandchildren, Benjamin Riggs (Katherine Connerton), Allen Philo (Cherrie Nolden), Leslie Stratton Gookin (John Gookin), Anne Philo Fleck (Kailen Fleck) and Lauren Stratton (Hannah Nones); and her brother-in-law Jim Hoey. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and 33 nieces and nephews.
