It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Joseph McClain (Ankeny, Iowa), born in Lancaster, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 15, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl McClain and Phyllis McClain; his sister-in-law Tania McClain; and his father-in-law Merle Mathis. He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Andrew McClain (Michelle) of Des Moines and Kathryn McClain of Ankeny; his siblings, Sheila Wetjen (Ron) of Peosta, Mike McClain of Dubuque, Steve McClain (Terry) of East Dubuque, Ill, Pat McClain (Pam) of Dubuque, Jim McClain (Diane) of Dubuque, Kathleen Klosterman (Rog) of Dubuque and John McClain (Janet) of Walnut Creek, Calif.; his mothers-in-law, Marge Mathis of Des Moines, Sue Mathis-Lilley (Joe) of Fort Collins, Lynne Opstad (Erik) of Anchorage and Mary Aleccia (Joe) of Clearwater Beach, Fla; and his grandchildren, Cash, Liam Wells, Jackson McClain and Brooks McClain. He is also survived by father, he was adored by his grandchildren and his many nieces and nephews.
