David Lee Askvig Obituary

The memory of David Lee Askvig of Ankeny, Iowa, who passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 72, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Askvig and Virginia Askvig (Bryson); and his brother Dennis Askvig. He is survived by: his wife Katheryn Askvig of Ankeny, Iowa; his children, Erin Hennigar (Andy) of Ankeny, Mark Askvig (Jamie) of Kalispell, Montana, Jeffrey Askvig (Sara) of Ankeny and Jason Askvig of Ankeny, Iowa; his grandchildren, Holden, Melina Askvig of Kalispell and Landrey Askvig of Ankeny, Iowa; and his pet Beau. He is also survived by other relatives; and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schroeder-Stark-Welin Funeral Home (609 7th St, Boone, IA 50036). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
