He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Wiener and Vivian Wiener; his siblings, Dale, Ivan, Kent and Connie; and his grandson Brad.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene Wiener (Booy); his children, Debbie Pauscher (Denny) of Ankeny, IA, Denise Hlozek (Billye) of Longview, TX and David Wiener (Sara) of Ankeny, IA; his grandchildren, Doug (Jessi), Dawn (Steve), Curt, Megan (Jake), Amanda (Adam), Kyle, Julia (Jordan) and Cael; his great grandchildren, Ryker, Mallory, Cole, Gage, Carrigan, Chloe, Cailyn, Jackson and Brooks; and his siblings, Gary, Karen, Kay and Kevin.
