She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Ablett and Marie Ablett (Luhman); her husband Glen Capps; her daughter Wendy Capps; her sister Kay Frances Ablett; and her sons-in-law, Jayson "Jay" Eckhart and Randy Williams.

She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Eckhart and Linda Williams; her grandchildren, Kelly Krehbiel (Joel), Michael Eckhart (Lacey), Tyler Williams (Kylee) and Korey Williams; and her brother Keith Ablett. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

“Connie Cappsie' Capps was a huge influence in my life. I got my undergrad in Secondary Physical Education wanting to emulate Mrs Capps. She allowed me to participate in her classes on breaks and was a terrific mentor. She was the Jr. High school PE teacher and coach and she made sports fun. My mother taught with her for years and always spoke very highly of her. Lindy and Cindy...please know she influenced our generation and more. She has a special spot in my heart. Sue Giglio Boyle”
