He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Briar and Josephine Briar (Anderson); his children, Dianna Blixt and Craig Briar; and his siblings, Josephine Hunt (Briar), Jim Briar and Helen Cameron Findling (Briar).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Briar (Jackson); his son Michael Briar; and his stepchildren, Steven Weinheimer (Kris) and Pamela Johnson (Dave Neff). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
