He is survived by: his wife Theresa McDonald; his children, Bridget Goldstein (Seth) of Baltimore, MD, Tom Dowd (Skyler) of Austin, TX, Danny Dowd (Sarah) of Ankeny, Mary Fleming (Alex) of Urbandale, Michael Dowd and Lizzy Dowd (Adam Ullerich) of Des Moines, IA; his grandchildren, Stella Goldstein, Eliza Dowd and Emmett Ullerich; his siblings, Tom Dowd (Mary), Mike Dowd (Leslie) and Mary Ann Dowd; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry McDonald (Anne) and Pat McDonald (Mary). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, godchildren and lifelong friends.
