It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brett Shafer of Ankeny, Iowa, born in Virginia, Minnesota, who passed away on July 20, 2020, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lois Shafer and Wallace Shafer; his daughter Carrie Homeister (Wes); his friend Rhonda Shafer; and his siblings, Kevin Shafer (Nancy), Lance Shafer and Janelle Hibbing.
