He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lorrie Canny and James Disney. He is survived by: his parents, Heather Shafer and James "Bill" Shafer; his brother Jesse Shafer; his grandparents, Dick and Jane Shafer; his uncles, Brian Shafer (Julie), Joe Disney (Kelly) and Mike Disney; his aunt Sue Burright; his great-uncle Doug Wendelboe; and his cousins, Jordan, Savanah, Cadee, Austin, Chloe and Brody.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be used for a scholarship donation in Billy's name to support the French Chef Exchange Program at the ICI at DMACC.
