It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bill Duane Swanson of Ankeny, Iowa, born in Manning, Iowa, who passed away on March 24, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Swanson and Anne Swanson (Heuss); his sister Carol (Bill Honeck); his parents-in-law, Carl and Lola Voss; and his sister-in-law Donna Lou (Don Toft).
He is survived by: his daughters, Beverly (Tom Atkins) of Johnston and Charlotte (Joel Schmidt) of Clive; his wife Doreen Swanson of Ankeny, Iowa; his daughter Sandy Nelson (Patrick Horan); his grandchildren, Joshua Clemens (Nicole Ascheman) of Beaverdale, Zachary Clemens of Ankeny, Nathan Clemens of Des Moines, Cory (Jessica Schmidt) of Adel, Miki (Nate Weber) of Waukee, Jeremy (Kristy Schmidt) of Urbandale, Tylor Nelson of Stuart and Tiffany Nelson of Austin, Texas; his great grandchildren, Hali'a, Cael, Chloe, Lilly, Evie, Dorie, Gwyneth, Siena, Garrett, Alexa and Caden; and his brother Ronald (Shirley Swanson) of Audubon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
