It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean McCormick (Ankeny, Iowa), born in Shannon City, Iowa, who passed away on October 12, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond DeLay and Mildred DeLay (Compton); her husband Leland McCormick; and her siblings, Jack DeLay, Shirley Baird, Robert DeLay and Jerry DeLay.
She is survived by: her children, Dean McCormick (Tonya) of Ames, IA and Carol Kristensen (Tom) of Ankeny, IA; her grandchildren, Shannon Swanson (Alan) of Lakewood, CO, Patrick McCormick (Jordan) of Ankeny, IA, Stephanie Ylvisaker (Tyler) of Coon Rapids, MN and Matthew Kristensen (Ashton) of Bettendorf, IA; her great grandchildren, Quinton and Rowan Ylvisaker; her grandchildren, Grayson, Graham, Everly Kristensen and Miles McCormick; her siblings, Janice Spellman (Jerry) of Granger, IA and Roger DeLay (Karen) of Burns, TN; and her sisters-in-law, Barbara DeLay of Fishers, IN, Sue DeLay of Davidson, NC, Nancy DeLay of Indianola, IA and Louisa McCormick of Moline, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
