She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Erven and Evelyn Louise Sidoner (Beene); and her sister Linda Dedman (Sidoner). She is survived by: her husband Gary Waller; her sons, Mike (Liz) and Steve; her sister Patti; and her grandsons, Sam, Toby and Andrew.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
