He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lois and Gerry Edwards; his aunt Marietta Dye; and his nephew Eli. He is survived by: his parents, Shawn Edwards and Stephanie Edwards; his friend Eric Cooper; his brother Joseph of Ankeny; his grandmother Jean Allen of Spirit Lake; his aunts and uncles, Larry, Diane Leigh of Johnston, Scott and Nancy Shierk of Kansas City, KS; and his cousins, Marcus and David.
The family has donated his brain to the Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) Center at Boston University. In memory of Ace, memorials may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in Des Moines, On With Life in Ankeny or a Mental Health program of your choice.
