It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amy Jolene Knapp (Ankeny, Iowa), born in West Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on April 4, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jean Sapp and Kenneth Sapp; and her son Matthew Christopher Knapp. She is survived by: her husband Christopher Knapp; her aunt Helen Doris Wright; her daughter-in-law Kara Breen; and her grandchildren, Braxton Knapp and Kinley Knapp. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the West Des Moines Christian Church, 4501 Mills Civic Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50265, or to your favorite charity in memory of Amy.

“Amy was a friend as no other. When meeting Amy it was friends at first words. She had a contagious laugh. If Amy was your friend there were no bounds as to what she would help you accomplish. After i retired from Ziegler Cat , where Amy and i worked i hand not seen her for several years. When i seen her again at another retirement party, the first words were " I missed you". . Amy i wil miss you Amy as we;ll as all of those that have known you. May GOD bless and keep you. Prayers to the famil”
