He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Paul Wessling and Jane Wessling (Broich); his sisters, Patty South and Cathy Jones; his nephew John Paul Jones; his great-nephew Brooks Wollum; his wife Lana Wessling of Anita; his children, Robert Wessling of Anita, Trevor Wessling (Christa) of Anita and Laura Rumple (Justin) of Casey; his siblings, Mary Hosfelt (Mike) of Massena, Ann Harris (Ben) of Anita and Jim Wessling (Dianne) of Anita; and his sister-in-law Rana Lansink of Ida Grove. He was also cherished by grandchildren; and many treasured, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be directed to the Wessling Family in honor of Steven. Memorials will be directed at a later date to many of his favorite local charities and events and may be mailed to the Schmidt Family Funeral Home (P.O. Box 523, Atlantic, IA 50022).
