He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Kraus and Emma Kraus (Kennebeck); his daughter Barb Kraus Dierks; his siblings, Paul Kraus, Dorothy Behrens, Alfred Kraus and Robert Kraus; his son-in-law Sidney Stepp; and his parents-in-law, Leonard and Florentine Schettler (Stork).
He is survived by: his daughter Barbara; his wife Mary Lou; his sister Louise Owens of Carroll, IA; his children, Debbie Stepp of Clinton, TN, Donna Culbertson (Denny) of Omaha, NE, Darlene Littleton (Mark) of Lexington, OH, Mike Kraus (Ruthie) of Anita, IA and Annette Raubvogel (David) of Seattle, WA; his son-in-law Duke Dierks; and his sister-in-law Kathy Kraus of Carroll, IA.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 1 step-grandson, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Kraus Family to be designated at a later date to many of Merlin's favorite local charities and organizations.
