He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Merle Chesnut and Cecil Gladys Chesnut (Keith); his former wife Darlene Joanne Marquis; his children, Alan (Rita) of Atlantic and Vickie Michels (Mike) of Dixon, IL; his granddaughters, Mindy Scadden (Sonny) of Maryville, MO, Stacy Johnson (Brett) of Atlantic, IA and Tara Michels of Waukesha, WI; his great grandchildren, Kolby, Kaden Scadden of Maryville, MO, Kinsley, Kambry and Kyson Johnson of Atlantic, IA; his brothers, Dale Chesnut (Marline) of Elkader, IA and Ray Chesnut of Anita, IA; his sisters-in-law, Janice Sheeder (Delbert) of Adair, IA, Jean Hall of Fontanelle, IA, Jeanette Crees (Bill) of Casey, IA and Joyce Rochholz of Atlantic, IA.; his wife D. Joanne Chesnut; his daughters, Cindy J. and Cherie D. Chesnut; his granddaughter Nicole Michels; his siblings, C. Claire Chesnut, Keith Chesnut, John Chesnut, Melvin Chesnut, Don Chesnut and Larry Chesnut; his siblings-in-law, Arlene Chesnut, Jessie Chesnut, Marilyn Chesnut, Ardith Chesnut, Orville Sheeder, Meriel Hall and Harold Rochholz; and his nieces, Colleen Chesnut Tibben, Penny Scheeder Nier and Melodie Chesnut Rubel.
