He was predeceased by : his parents, William "Bill" A. Cron and Leona M. Cron (Kirchner); his stepfather George Voiles; his sisters, Lowene Dobernecker and Jo Steele; and his son Jeffrey A. Cron.

He is survived by : his wife Rosalie Cron; his daughter Julie Cron McIntyre; and his stepson Tim Snyder (Carrie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
