He was loved and cherished by many people including : his son-in-law Wray Carroll; his siblings, Gail Turner and Joyce Dunkin; his wife Mary Turner of Anita; his children, Dawn Harder (Paul) of Hancock, Brooke Turner (Pallin) of Clarinda, Jyl Turner of Griswold and Ann Carroll of Avoca; his grandchildren, Cordell Turner, Chance Turner, Kelsey, Courtney, Cole Harder, Jacob Waters, Tara Waters, Garrett, Delaney and Erin Carroll; his daughter Suzanne Dodson-Andrew of Grand Junction; his brother Lynn Turner (Angie) of Casey; his sister-in-law Gloria Turner of Anita; and his friend Harriet Alff.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials go to the family to be designated at a later date.
