He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Edwin and Beatrice Catherine; his second-father Mick Koons; and the mother of his children Sue. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Tharp (Tyler) and Alexander Zeller (Karissa); his grandchildren, Blayne Tharp and Winona Zeller; his siblings, Barb Fellenzer (Rod), Pat Hinderman (Rich), Ron Zeller (Tami), Rick Zeller and Kevin Zeller; and his nieces and nephews, Jeff, Tara, Corey, Chris, Becky, Molly, Don, Doug, Eric, Kari, Kevin Jr. and Heather Marie.
In lieu of plants & flowers, a Kenneth "Zip" K. Zeller Memorial Fund has been established.
