He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr and Gertrude; and his sister Enna. He is survived by: his spouse Elsie (Berry); his children, Lorraine McDonald (David) and Roger (Tracy); and his grandchildren, Christopher, Aaron and Ethan.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society of Perth County.
