She was predeceased by: her parents, August Westphal and Minna Martensen Westphal; her former husband Richard Schmidt; her husband John Parham Sr.; her daughter Deb Sickels; her grandsons, Eric Sickels and Jay Schmidt; and her siblings, Donald Westphal, Idalene Huston and Doris Antons.
She is survived by: her son Mike Schmidt (Kathy) of Springville; her son-in-law Ken Sickels of Marion, IA; and her grandchildren, Joshua Schmidt (Cheri) of Springville, IA., Nicole Randstrom (Kristian) of Fort Collins, CO., Lindsay Kravtsova (Andre) of Ukraine and Jamie Lampe (Joe) of Iowa City, IA.. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Camp Courageous in lieu of flowers.
