She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Carpenter and Eleanor Carpenter (Ralston); her husband Emil Ortgies; her granddaughter Jennifer; and her siblings, Howard, Ernest (Mike), Robert (Pat), Lowell, Lois, Lucille and Shirley.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Tuetken (Terry), Dr. Cindy Anderson (Kevin) of Woodstock, IL, Martin Ortgies (Lynn Thomas) and Mark Ortgies (Robin); her grandchildren, Kymm, Troy, Travis, Mark, Lindsey and Trenton; and her siblings, Lyle, James (Jim), Curtis, Margaret (Maggie) and Linda. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren, two great greatgrandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Life Church (1001 E 3rd St, Anamosa, IA 52205). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
