It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Allen Smith of Anamosa, Iowa, who passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Philip; his parents-in-law, Earl, Phyllis Morarend, JoAnn Young, Leanna Morarend and Kevin Morarend; and his parents, William Smith and Dorothy Smith (Mead).
He is survived by: his wife Karen Morarend; his sons, Troy (Lynn) and Jeffry (Jessica); his grandchildren, Caitlynn, Sam, Hayden and Tristan; his brother Roger (Sue); his parents-in-law, Caryles Morarend (Bonnie), Steven Morarend (Mary), Laura Morarend and Richard Young (Dottie); and his aunts, Nelda and Eileen Mead. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be directed to Honor Flight, Rhythm of Life, or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
