He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Humphrey and Elsie Humphrey (Stephan); his brother Tom; and his son Mike. He is survived by: his spouse Bonnyle Secrist; his children, Ann Weers (Al) of Anamosa, Kay Paulsrud (Steve) of Muscatine, Nancy Schreiber (Bill) of Muscatine, Dan Humphrey (Deanna) of Colorado Springs, CO and Troy Humphrey of Colorado Springs, CO; his brother Rob Humphrey (Carol) of Glendale, AZ; and his grandchildren, Chris Carpenter (Jasmine Bird), Katy Bloom, Jessica Piehl (Dan), Aaron Weers, Wayne Schreiber (Brooklyn Bermel), Caitlin Gregory (David), Dillon Humphrey (Lezza), Monae Best (Eric), Danielle Humphrey and Troy Humphrey Jr.. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution to your favorite charity.

“I will miss the father that I never knew that is a shame in itself I tried on a few occasions to communicate with him to correspond but he never did want to. so Dad your son Troy misses you wishing he only knew you the person that all these people love I love you too see you in heaven all those that have been with my father the last 58 years of my life thank you for making him happy never got that opportunity. some day I'll see him in heaven hopefully I'll be able to get to know him.
