It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Allen Weltz (Anamosa, Iowa), born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on May 7, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Weltz and Mary Weltz (Stramel); his granddaughter Samantha; his siblings, Jack and Alice; and his brother-in-law Ted Nunemaker.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Owen Townsend; his children, Dawn Langer (Greg), Robert Townsend (Terri King), Michelle Harris (Ted) and MaryAnn Allen (James); and his grandchildren, Mandy, Missy, Brady, Maddie, Trystan, Angela, Alexandra, Nicholas, Katie, Abigail, Tim and Chris. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current health pandemic a celebration of his life will take place at the Apostolic Assembly in Anamosa at a later date.
