She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Michalec and Mary Michalec (Phillip); her fiancé Tony Imhoff; her daughter Lori Mead; and her siblings, Joan Marie Miller, Franklin, Benjamin and Bernard Michalec.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Smith (Deb) of Anamosa, Dawn McNeeley of Anamosa, Wendi Smith of Anamosa, Rick Smith of Cedar Rapids and Matthew Smith (Sam) of Mason City, Iowa; her siblings, Philly Michalec of Cedar Rapids, Billy Michalec (Sherri) of Cedar Rapids, Michael Michalec (Diane) of Cedar Rapids, Robert Michalec of Cedar Rapids, Rosie Harvey of Cedar Rapids, Teresa Ruzicka (Bob) of Cedar Rapids and Sister Mary Frances of Cedar Rapids; and her sister-in-law Karen Michalec. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial fund that will be established in Patti's honor.
