He was predeceased by: his children, Mikeal and Emily Sherman; his son-in-law Larry Sherman; and his brothers, Donald, Chuck and John.
He is survived by: his parents, Mikael Franks and Margaret Franks (Shappell); his spouse Whitney Dodd; his children, Daniel (Deb), Kitty Anamosa (Marcus), Jerry, Tim (Elaina), John (Sarah), Steve, Laura and Rachel; and his siblings, Chester (Darlene) and Margaret Louise Hare of Downers Grove, IL.. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
