She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Patnode and Florence Patnode (Healy); her former husband Harold Martensen; and her children, Lori Brunscheen and Matt Dunkel.
She is survived by: her husband Lyle Dunkel; her children, Mitch Martensen (Lauri), Anne Chadwell (Warren), Jennifer Bhattacherjee (Abhishek) and Heather Hodges (Brian); her siblings, Therese Bickford (Harry), Libby Ammeter, John Patnode (Sue) and CJ Patnode; her brother-in-law Louis Dunkel; and her son-in-law Kirk Brunscheen. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
