It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence Aloysius Schwers of Anamosa, Iowa, who passed away on June 26, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Schwers and Marie Schwers (Foxen); his brother Merlin; and his son-in-law Brad Manuel. He is survived by: his children, Lawrence, Patty Manuel, Olin, Gene Schwers (Shellie), Ed Schwers (Robin) of Sand Springs, OK, Kathy Langenberg (Carl Stuber) and Carol Husmann (Greg); his stepsons, Loren Culver (Becky) of Cedar Rapids and Leon Culver (Christie) of Cedar Rapids; and his siblings, Germaine Theisen, Lillian Greiner, Eileen Hellmann, Caroline Nachtman, Elmer, Chuck (Donna), Betty Schulze (Hal) and Jim. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Lighthouse Baptist Church Building Fund, 503 W. Main Street, Anamosa.
