He is survived by: his wife Jerrie Warthen; his daughter Tara Dietiker (Brian) of Anamosa; his grandchildren, Rylan and Ashlyn; his sisters, Sharon Fell of Anamosa, Patricia Yousse (Dean) of Scotch Grove, Pam Osterkamp of Cedar Rapids, Marilyn Christiansen (Dale) of Anamosa, Debbie Osterkamp of Anamosa and Connie Ehlers (Randy) of Anamosa; and his siblings-in-law, Amanda Osterkamp of Anamosa, Marilyn Warthen of Anamosa, Judy Walker (Dale) of Anamosa, Jean Schlimmer (Keith "Slim") of Anamosa, DeWayne Warthen (Pam) of Martelle, Janet Lynott (Dick) of Hiawatha, Janice Richmond (Bob) of Springville and Allan Warthen of Monticello. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
