He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fortune and Elsie Fortune (Knight); his spouse Bonny Rose Schroeder; his sister Doris Ann McQueen (Norman McQueen); and his brother-in-law Donald Albaugh.

He is survived by: his sons, Craig (Debra) of Williams Bay, WI, Jeff (Kristi) and Ben (Lauren); his grandchildren, Tom, Josie, Zak, Ashlyn, Conor and Eleanor; his sister Janet Albaugh; and his sister-in-law Jan Schroeder.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials are preferred.
