He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Rekemeyer and Hannah Rekemeyer (Stanton); his sons, Rick Meeks, Tim Meeks and Terry Meeks; his granddaughter Alicia Coats; and his son-in-law Mike Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Achenbach; his children, Pam Coats (Al), Marion, Gina Smith, Becky Jamison (Andy) and Renee Mente; and his sister Lois Moon. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, one great greatgrandchild.
