He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Angela Fogarty (Tim Winders) and Nicholas Fogarty; his stepchildren, Rhonda Harmon (Mark) of Anamosa, Laura Shover of Anamosa, Chad Shover (Amy) and Marion; his grandchildren, Freddy, Courtney, Jacob, Brayden, Zoey, Hailey and Gavin; and his sister Carolyn LaBarge.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
