She was predeceased by: her father Alan Houska; her parents-in-law, Marvin and Delores Birely; her brother John; and her son Michael.

She is survived by: her mother Linda Houska (Luker); her husband George Birely; her children, Tara Dietiker (Brian), Anthony Houska (Kaytee), Marvin Birely (Julie), Marion and Jeremy Birely; her grandchildren, Rylan, Ashlyn, Brantley, Thomas, Elizabeth, Gabe, Makayla and Trista; her siblings, Debbie Merritt (Brian) of Anamosa, Dawn Wilson (Darin Sander) of Anamosa, Brian Houska (Jenny) of Anamosa, Angie Geltz of Anamosa, Warren Birely (Debbie), Marvetta Jones (Harold), Gail Berker (Lance) and Terry Kerr (Tommy); and also Linda Luker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to the current health pandemic social distancing will be practiced and properly fitted face masks will be required at all time in the funeral home.
