He is survived by: his wife Angelika; his grandson Christian; and his siblings, Freda Leiker (Pat) of Las Vegas, NV, Renelda Heasty of Clarence, IA, Sonny Melchers (Janet) of Fairfield, IA and Gene Melchers (Charlene) of Rosemont, CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
