William Girrard Mortensen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 11, 2020, at the age of 72, William Girrard Mortensen of Ames, Iowa, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Mortensen and Charlotte Mortensen (Carlson); his former wife Linda Wood; his granddaughter Rachel Mortensen; and his sister Sande Whalen.
He is survived by: his wife Karla Glover of Ames; his children, Michael Mortensen (Adrienne) of Wyoming, MN, Elizabeth Mortensen of Minneapolis, MN, Lindsey Nelson (Kellen) of Osseo, WI and Jonathan Mortensen of Ames; his grandchildren, Tyler, Ashley, Kellen, Brock, Andrew and Jennings; and his sister Roxanne Jacobson (John) of Minneapolis, MN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
