He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Ostendorf and Ruby Renken Ostendorf; and his sister Marlys Kramer. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his children, Nancy Ann Thompson (Mark) of Badger and Alan Wayne Ostendorf (Angela) of Ames; his grandchildren, Jackson, Juliet Thompson, Victoria, Brennan, Collin, Drew and Ethan Ostendorf; and his brother LeRoy Ostendorf (Janice) of Aplington. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and fond neighbors.
